| Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When animal dies that has especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water, and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable. All of the animals that have been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling to gether in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your eyes but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together..... (author unknown) So until we meet again.... |

| It is now with a sad and very heavy heart that I write this bio to honor my daughter Debby’s beloved Aussie Rowdy. Rowdy had to take a drive one more time with my Debby today and this time it was to put him down and send him across the Rainbow Bridge on his way to lovely green pastures and to meet all his friends that left him a long time ago. Sometimes you have a special furry friend come along at the most unexpected time, and Rowdy was just this sort of Aussie. After Debby watching me her mom and sister Tammy with our Aussies Debby decided that she certainly liked what she seen in the breed. She only different thought though she wanted to give a less fortunate Aussie a forever home. She contacted a dear friend Kay Edwards who is the founder of St. Louis Aussie Rescue and she told her she did have several Aussies who just might fit in real well into her home life and to go out and check the Rescue’s out on her web site and read there Bio’s there for each rescue. Kay told her again she felt that there would be several special Aussies out there that would pull at her heart strings and make a great Aussie companion in her home deserving of a second chance in a forever home. Debby checked each and every Aussie out and this one little black bi boy caught her eye. He had just been brought into rescue and seemed that he might be just what she was looking for. Reading his bio this fellow had been through some really bad times and if he was what Debby was looking for his hard times where over and he found his forever home with Debby and my grandchildren. After Debby meeting with his foster parents in there home of several visits, yes Rowdy did find his forever home and that has been some eight years ago. Since the time Rowdy came into Debby’s life and her children’s lives he has been her constant companion and guardian of her home and yard. Debby did put a CD on him ASCA and AKC and then he was retired from the ring driving in the car to get to shows and once at a show it just was not Rowdy’s place in life, he much rather stay at home with his toys, chew bone and ball and not go in the car and he would be the house protector that was his role in Debby’s home and he took great pride in that job he done so well. Go my friend across the Rainbow Bridge one of the hardest things Debby has ever had to do but you will now have forever lush green meadows and streams and forever play. Your mom will be there someday to cross the bridge don’t be afraid go my friend your friends are waiting for you to play and romp and run and you will be there to meet your mom when her time comes to end on this earth. Your mom Debby will cross the Rainbow Bridge one day and once again she will toss your ball and play fetch together again. Go my friend until then scoot now be happy my true gorgeous Aussie friend and hurt no more and be with all the buddies before you! We love you our ”Rowdy Boy” may you rest in peace and until we meet again when mom will cross that Rainbow Bridge to be with you once more. |
